Witty spirit and an experiment
I just wanted to share an interesting experience I had today. So, I am a professional photographer and I work mainly in real estate photography-in and out of many homes a week. Anyway, I was in a house earlier today, alone, shooting and I started to feel uneasy, like I wasn't alone. So, I did a sweep of the house to make sure no one was present and it was clear. I couldn't shake the feeling so I looked down the hall and saw (in my minds eye) a young man, dark skin, late teens to early twenties looking back at me. I could see every detail of what he was wearing to his haircut. It looked like 90's clothing but I asked him why he was following me around, it was spooking me. I said what are you doing here and he replied - I'd ask you the same thing. It was so funny and I got more of that sharp wit and personality again when I went to another room. I asked his name and I heard what sounded like Barry or Gary, it was a little frustrating because I had no one with me to validate who this person was but I was 100% sure it wasn't my imagination just by the responses I was getting and the detail of his presence.
The timing of his appearance was really comforting and unexpected because I have been in this frustrating cycle of not trusting myself and not really tapping in like I normally have been in the past. I plan to research the history of the home and see if anything shows, I've had similar experiences in different homes and was able to validate most of them but it was when the owner was home.
I even did a little experiment earlier when I had to meet a realtor on location. I had never met her before but I tried to 'imagine' what she would look like when I arrived. I saw an older woman, very short with thinning auburn hair. So, I arrived not expecting much when I open the door and meet an older woman, about 4'10 with light brown hair-thinning. Needless to say, I was pleased with that experiment and will try more in the future.
I'll be documenting each experience from now on so this journal might fill up quickly, if I remember. It's more for me to look back and say yea, I can trust myself and here's why.
