The secret to becoming a better medium

Here's the best tip to becoming a better reader. Are you ready for this?

Fail. Fail harder and then fail again. Think about it, how do we learn as children. We don't instinctively know how to do everything. My son is potty training, he knows how to flush the toilet and he knows that what goes in disappears when you flush it. He learned that putting objects that aren't related to the action of using the toilet- into the toilet results in that object being lodged and preventing the water from going back down the drain. We could tell him repeatedly, don't throw stuff in the toilet but until he witnessed it and realized it wasn't a good thing, he learned.

Probably not the best example but for visual purposes.

You learn from experience, ride a bike-fall over-get back up-ride even better. Your body gives you cues, whether they are subconscious or conscious. "Ok that's not right, let me back up and try again." It's really a process of willpower, can you gather yourself back up and not be defeated by doubt. Can you say, this didn't go as well as I wanted but next time will be better, its not spirit, its (fill in the blank).

Spirit will always be there.

There's always something we can do to strengthen our skills, most times it comes down to self care. We have to work on ourselves so that we can be the best vessel of communication that we can be. Confidence will carry you only so far, doing the inner work and the practice will always prove to improve your skill over time.

It's taken me a long time to really understand how often I stand in my own way and Im not alone in that. The best thing you can do is fail Better.

Love yourself, you're human and we have good and bad days. Just like anything else in life, the difference is how you react to it.
